The Ofu Local Government traditional council has taken a proactive step to address security concerns in the area by convening a meeting with Fulani and Gago leaders. The meeting, held at Ugwolawo, Kogi State, aimed to promote peaceful coexistence between the Fulani and host communities within the Ejeh’s domain.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, HRH Prince Akwu Obaje, the Ejeh of Ofu, emphasized the importance of security and harmony in the area. “The primary aim of this meeting is to ensure security and peaceful coexistence between the Fulani and the host communities within my domain,” he said.

The Ejeh expressed optimism that the meeting would yield positive results, stating that both parties had agreed to work together to maintain peace and security in the area. He also urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.

The meeting was attended by members of the traditional council, Fulani and Gago leaders, and security personnel. The Ejeh commended the efforts of security agencies in the area and pledged the traditional council’s support for their efforts.

The initiative has been welcomed by residents, who hope that it will help to address the security challenges facing the area and promote peaceful coexistence among communities.
