The United States House of Representatives has passed a resolution urging the Departments of State and Treasury to impose targeted sanctions on individuals and organizations in Nigeria, including the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria and Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, over alleged violations of religious freedom. The resolution also recommends conditioning US foreign assistance to Nigeria on measurable progress in addressing religious-based violence and supporting displaced persons
